Park Activities:

Underwater and Beach Clean-Up Campaigns:  The park’s management regularly initiates clean-up activities in co-ordination with volunteers from schools and local dive centers to collect garbage that finds its way onto the beaches and into the water either from careless visitors or from near by industrial areas.  Garbage collected includes plastic bags, bottle caps, cans, food containers, and other materials. 

The park is also host to an annual Clean-Up the World Campaign organized by the Marine Conservation Society of Jordan (JREDS).

These activities are in addition to the Park’s daily beach maintenance and clean-up activities conducted by the park’s staff as the increasing number of beach visitors form a significant source of stress on the beach areas and the park staff work hard at mitigating these stresses.
